Ötztaler MTB Festival Haiming summary
After a very successful Absa Cape Epic for him and the whole Kross Racing Team, Ondřej Cink is still in a very good shape. Czech rider finished the Ötztaler MTB Festival Haiming as 5th and showed, that the regeneration proces after the African race was very successful.
Cink, who was the one and only Kross Racing Team rider in Austria, from the beginning of the race fought for the top positions. Finally, after almost 90 minutes of the racing, he finished as 5th, which is really good result, considering the fact, that the race was done just two weeks after the demanding Absa Cape Epic – the most difficult stage MTB race in the world.
„I think, that Ondřej achieved a very good result. He took a fight with the very strong rivals and finished fifth, what is a very good sing before the next part of the season” – said Kornel Osicki, Kross Racing Team manager. The Czech rider right after the race was a bit dissatisfied, but he pointed out, that the race in Haiming is just a part of the preparations for the first World Cup race in Albstadt.
