Ondřej Cink
- a new competitor on the Kross Racing Team

The 28-year-old competitor from the Czech Republic, who can boast the bronze medal at the cross-country world championships in 2015, has just signed a two-year contract with the Polish team of the KROSS brand.

The team’s new competitor is Ondřej Cink, whose first career success was obtaining the bronze medal, together with the Czech representation, in the XC relay at the European Championships in Haifa in 2010. Together with his team members he reached for the same medal during the world championships at Mont-Sainte-Anne, and in 2012 became world champion and European team champion in the youth age category. In the same year, he reached 14th place at the Olympics in London, and third place in the relay at the European Championships in Berne. Of his achievements, it’s especially worth mentioning the bronze medal in cross country, attained in 2015 at the world championships in Vallnord.

In the 2017 season Cink took a year’s break from MTB and he switched to road cycling and he took part in UCI World Tour races as the Strade Bianche and the Tour de France. After one-year break he decided to go on race in XC, which he likes the most!

“I’m really happy to be able to join the KROSS team. I feel ready for the new challenges that are waiting for me in such a great team. It’s an honour to cooperate with such a known competitor as Maja Włoszczowska and other excellent contenders. It gives me great motivation to attain the highest sporting results,” says Ondřej Cink.

The Czech man is the first new face presented by the Kross Racing Team for the 2019 season. “Our team is now complete for the next year and will gradually be showing what we can do. I’m really glad that we managed to get Ondřej on the team. I’ve known him since the beginning of his career; I also closely observed his return from the road to MTB and I see a lot of potential in him. I hope that he’ll bring us lots of superb successes,” comments Kornel Osicki, the KRT manager.
