It was a very successfull weekend for the Kross Racing Team. On Saturday, Sergio Mantecón won „Górale na Start” race in Wałbrzych (Poland). On Sunday, Ondřej Cink take a win in the Czech Cup race in Pec pod Snezkou. Ariane Lüthi finished stage race, the Belgian Mountainbike Challenge 4th.
Sergio and Ondřej just one week before the first World Cup race in Albstadt, showed very impressive form. Mantecón in the first part of the race in Poland rode together with Bartłomiej Wawak, but at the final kilometers he decided to attack. Took the first place with a big advantage (29 seconds) over the second rider.
Cink, like during his previous races (in Mesto Touskov and Heubach) decided to make a powerful start and escape all the rivals. After first two (of seven) laps, he had one minute advantage over the second rider. Finally, he finished 39 seconds before the second Jan Vastl. Ariane, who won the prologue on Thursday, on the final stage took fourth place, and finished fourth in the general classification.
- The final weekend before the first World Cup was for our Team busy, but also very successfull – said Kross Racing Team manager, Kornel Osicki. – I hope that Ondřej and Sergio’s results will reflect in Albstadt – he added.
