Włoszczowska takes 5th
place at the WC in Albstadt!

The second Women's Elite race of The World Cup took place in Albstadt (Germany) on June 31st, under a sunny, blue sky. The contestants competed on an endurance route with a small number of technical assistance zones. As early as on the 1st lap, the favorite of the race, Jolanda Neff, gained approx. a minute of advantage over the rest of the competitors, and managed to keep them away during the entire run. The race consisted of seven 4.2 km laps.

Maja Włoszczowska (Kross Racing Team), originally starting from 10th place, had quite quickly joined the front ranks trying to catch up to the race's leader. On subsequent laps, the Polish contestant fought to keep her 4th place. Eventually Maja Włoszczowska finished 5th, after being overtaken by Canadian Emily Batty.
